The aim of the workshop, held from 24-26 October 2012 in Dakar (Senegal), was to fine-tune the scientific objectives of the DIVECOSYS platform, further to comments made by CIRAD General Management.

The three-day seminar was attended by 13 researchers from France, Senegal, Benin and Mali (six agronomists and seven entomologists). It was led by Pascal Clouvel for two and a half days. All the work was done in a common room.

In order to renew the scientific objectives, the aim was establish a shared vision to tackle pest management: overall objectives, geographical scales, vocabulary, operating methods, activities and research tools.
