Seven years after its launch, the DIVECOSYS platform in partnership for research and training is to undergo an external audit.

This operation is a challenge for the DP, since its past, present and future will all be audited. To prepare for the commission's visit, a workshop was held from 10 to 13 April last year to:

1. share and revise the DP's self-evaluation document,
2. revise the outlines of the DP's scientific plan, to take account of the Science Council's recommendations and changes in the members of the DP and their profiles
3. share this exercise with other research groups in the sub-region (DPs IAVAO, PPZS and ASAP; LMI IESOL, LAPSE and Pathobios) and potential new partners in the DP (ITRA in Togo, UFHB in Ivory Coast, CSE in Senegal), to identify collaborative approaches to be established or strengthened.

After three days of intense exchanges, guests were able to discover the activities being conducted by various groups, during a tour of research platforms (CERAAS in Thiès, LMI LAPSE joint microbiology laboratory, LNRPV/ISRA in vitro culture laboratory and LMI IESOL laboratories) that prompted new ideas for collaboration on a regional scale.
