    A bottomland in the village of Pelebina, 30 km south of Djougou (Benin), was the object of an exploratory study from August 2013 to July 2014.

    Alibori département is one of the main cotton producers in Benin, but its cotton plots are amongst the most heavily infested with bollworms (Helicoverpa armigera) at the end of the rainy season.

  • Arboriculture: fruit flies

    Under WAFFI (West African Fruit Fly Initiative), we have observed since 2005 the highly positive action of dominant tree ants such as Oecophylla (Oecophylla longinoda Lat.) in Benin, in mango, citrus and cashew nut orchards first of all, and subsequently in many other fruit tree orchards in West Africa.
