The Agricultural Sciences Faculty (FSA) at Abomey-Calavi University (Benin) is a professional, development, research, and development support organization with the following priorities, amongst others:

• to provide initial training in the fields of agronomy and related sciences and technologies, so as to provide development and research structures with highly qualified staff;
• to design and implement agricultural research programmes in line with rural development policy in Benin;
• to create an appropriate framework for promoting new technologies and facilitating innovation.

Its research work focuses on the constraints on professionals, in partnership with national agricultural research programmes, notably INRAB, and other regional and international research centres such as CIRAD and the IRD.
